France is probably better known for its wines. However, in the last two decades, craft brewing has established itself as a new dimension to France’s drinks scene – nowhere more so than in Corsica.
Brasserie Pietra is named for the village of Pietraserena on the island of Corsica – home of the brewery’s founders. Established in 1996, beers from Brasserie Pietra are available universally on the island, and experiencing huge growth across France and in diverse export markets.

Colomba is a wit bier (white beer), brewed infusing a range of herbs native to Corsica. A blend of tree strawberry, rockrose, juniper and myrtle are introduced to the brew during the boil, delivering a truly bewitching, scented white beer.
Colomba is a superbly refreshing wit bier, built on a perfect balance of sweetness, bitterness and crisp freshness. As a wheat beer, Colomba is distinctly refreshing. The fusion of herbs adds a distinct dimension of character, fusing subtle menthol, gingerbread, liquorice and spruce in the background of an incredibly crisp beer.
