Broadside uses East Anglian malted barley, and only one hop variety – First Gold. This dark ruby beer is full of fruitcake flavours – raisins, plums, currants – a richness of flavour carried by, but not overpowered by, the above average alcohol strength in this beer.  Great as a beer to savour, or matched with strong cheddar.
