GOUDEN CAROLUS, BROUWERIJ HET ANKER

Situated in the beautiful town of Mechelen, North of Brussels, Brouwerij Het Anker is a family brewery now in its fifth generation.  Gouden Carolus refers to a golden coin originally minted in the time of Charlemagne, and bearing the imprint of the head of the famous emperor. The four beers from the Het Anker Brewery are named Gouden Carolus – superbly appropriate, as each one is a true treasure. Four beers, each with its own distinct personality, but all having the common characteristics of pure quality and delicious taste.

Soft fruit flavours are the order of the day in this classic Belgian Tripel, top fermented, pale golden ale. Apricot and peach are evident, with hop character secondary, but present to balance the complex array of fruit flavours developed during fermentation.  Captivating and delicious – and while Gouden Carolus Tripel is rich and complex, it is incredibly drinkable.
