The introduction of fruit as an ingredient to further develop interesting styles of lambic beers is a tradition that is as old as the style, and which has given an artist’s palate to lambic brewers, enabling them to brew beers with distinctly fruity character built on the essentially sour base of the lambic beer base. Whether it is a traditional kriek (cherry lambic beer) or framboise (raspberry lambic beer), or the more recently developed variants of strawberry or peach lambic, one is guaranteed that the fruit flavour will not disappoint, and the lambic base provides a superb depth of complexity.

Over time, lambic brewers and blenders have investigated the use of alternate natural fruit ingredients in brewing their beers. Strawberry has emerged as a particularly delicious variant in fruit lambic beers. With Timmermans Strawberry, distinct aromas and flavours of strawberries combine with the sourness of the lambic to provide a blend of fruit flavours in the background which include sour apple, and tart cherry. The refreshing fruit – sour combination gives a refreshing zing on the tongue. The finish is relatively dry and incredibly clean.
